Travel around the country can cost less than the average price of an Easter Egg, according to the UK's fastest-growing coach provider FlixBus.

Tickets start from just £2.99 on the bus network, compared to the average price of an Easter Egg which is predicted to be £5.18[1] this year.

Consumers are set to feel the pinch this month due to rising prices of fuel and gas, however, the cost of travel over the long Easter weekend needn't be eggs-travagant says FlixBus UK Managing Director Andreas Schorling.

“For the first time in three years, the people are free to explore the UK without restriction over the Easter break, but we know that the cost of living is a concern for many at the moment.

“We believe everyone should be able to visit loved ones, explore new cities and enjoy a weekend away without breaking the bank, which is why we're proud of our great value ticket prices, all year round.”

In Bristol, find family-friendly events at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm or try the world 'smelliest' museum to see Voyage at Brunel's SS Great Britain.

There are roar-some dinosaurs on the Brickosaurs Trail in Scotland's capital, built using half a million toy bricks, or get gory at the Edinburgh Science Festival.

A free to enjoy Paw Patrol sculpture trail will be in Cardiff until 24 April. Take a trip back in time at St Fagans Museum, where visitors are invited to crack an Easter code and earn treats!

With plenty of low-cost activities in the capital this Easter, there's no reason to spend a fortune, with many of London's major Museums and Galleries free to enter.

Special Easter events, which are free with entry, include finding unusual objects left by passengers on the London Transport Museum's Lost and Found trail. For the eco-minded, sustainable art workshops take place at the Maritime Museum ahead of Earth Day (22 April).

With climate issues high on the agenda, the bus provider also points out that coaches are the most climate-friendly way to travel long distance.

Andreas adds: “Our buses, and our ethos, are green through and through. Travelling by coach reduces air pollution, carbon emissions and road congestion, meaning there's even more reason to choose FlixBus this Easter.”
