| Vancouver International Airport (YVR) was named the best airport in North America for the fourth year in a row at the annual Skytrax World Airport Awards. In addition to being named the continent's finest, YVR also ranked eighth best airport in the world – one spot up from last year. Widely considered the global benchmark of airport excellence, Skytrax's annual awards are based on some 12 million passenger surveys administered worldwide. Passengers were asked to score their experiences across 39 different airport service and product areas, including passenger experience, efficiency, signage, transportation availability, amenities and friendliness. Nearly 400 airports were rated in the survey. |
