YTL Hotels Presents Signature Weddings: Intimate, Unforgettable Moments To Celebrate Your Romantic Union

YTL Hotels

In keeping with its promise of 'treasured places, treasured moments', YTL Hotels has unveiled a host of Signature Weddings, truly memorable experiences for the couple, their family and friends to cherish for a lifetime. Whether set in the verdant hills of the Cameron Highlands or aboard a luxury yacht off Pangkor Laut, each romantic experience is tailor-made to the couples' personalities and preferences, always taking into account the unique culture and charms of the individual resort or hotel's locale, and presenting the wedding of a lifetime with a warm, professional flair.

The exclusive private island haven of Pangkor Laut Resort draws inspiration from the paradise in which it is set, offering couples a luxurious seafaring wedding aboard the YTL Lady I, a 65-ft Princess motor yacht. The exchange of vows is a peaceful ceremony at sea, as the yacht cruises towards the sun setting over the Straits of Malacca. As the resident band serenades, a sumptuous seafood banquet on the beach is served in celebration of the joyous union. Couples may also choose to have a rustic beach wedding on one of the resort's stunning beaches or at The Lantern Courtyard amongst the koi ponds of Feast Village. Prices begin at MYR13,500 per couple.

Taking from its rich Peranakan heritage, The Majestic Malacca offers a culturally-slanted boutique Malaccan Heritage Wedding which embraces the colourful Nyonya-Baba roots that the city is known for. This distinctive experience includes coordination in customising intricately tailored Peranakan outfits with the city's renowned seamstresses as well as a traditional tea ceremony at The Library - part of the beautifully tiled original mansion, which was built in the 1920s. The couple then celebrates by touring the city in celebratory wedding trishaw, returning to the hotel for a magnificent five-course Peranakan meal livened up with a Dondang Sayang performance. Prices begin at MYR13,000 for the wedding couple.

On the pristine East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Tanjong Jara Resort offers a traditional Malay-style wedding suffused in the ancient Malay philosophy of sucimurni. With the Signature Wedding at Teratai Terrace, couples are wed alfresco at the end of a tropical flower-lined aisle, under a classic arch shaded by the swaying coconut palms. A live gamelan troupe provides musical accompaniment after the solemnisation, as a five-course contemporary Asian meal is served.

An equally exotic experience is offered with the Nelayan Wedding, where a lively procession led with bunga manggar and kompang brings the party to the rustic ceremonial arch on the beach. After the couple exchange vows, a five-course seafood meal is served on the beach. Prices begin at MYR14,000. Guests may also opt to book all of the resort's 99 rooms in The Royal Wedding, an exclusive, all-inclusive, wedding of a lifetime.

Amidst the cool clime and misty mountain peaks of Cameron Highlands Resort, a classic Colonial wedding infused in romance and old-world glamour offers an unforgettable experience. The exchange of vows takes place on the terrace overlooking the lofty pines, under an elaborate floral arch of Cameron Highlands roses, after which the party adjourns to the fireplace of the Highlands Bar for the resort's Fireplace Lighting Ritual. A five-course colonial dinner satiates the palate, as the resident pianist offers a few tunes for the married couple to take their first whirl on the dance floor. The resort also offers an Oriental Spring wedding, where the solemnisation is held in an intimate gazebo decorated with charming paper lanterns and cranes. A traditional Japanese tea ceremony is held in the contemporary Gonbei restaurant, after which a five-course Oriental meal is served. Prices begin at MYR12,000 for the wedding couple.

On the serene and spiritual island of Bali, Spa Village Resort Tembok, Bali offers a sun-kissed wedding immersed in the gentle culture of the Island of the Gods. The simple ceremony is held in a bamboo-lined clearing scented with sweet frangipanis and bougainvillea, to the lullaby of the traditional Balinese gamelan. As the sun sets and the moon rises, a Balinese banquet is then served alfresco in the gardens or at the open-air Wantilan restaurant while a Kechak dance collective performs. Prices begin at MYR12,000 for the wedding couple.

The newest addition to the YTL Hotels' portfolio, Gaya Island Resort presents a serene location for forming everlasting memories while framed by the soaring peaks of Mount Kinabalu, Sabah. The ceremony takes place on the private beach at Tavajun Bay where after a stroll down the tropical flower-lined aisle, the couple says their vows beneath a rainforest arch. Upon sundown, the joyous occasion is commemorated with the delicate clinking of champagne glasses and a delectable five-course Asian meal served at the main resort. Prices begin at MYR16,000 for the wedding couple.

While each wedding offering is unique in terms of style and location, the team at YTL Hotels knows that each celebration is built entirely on the wedding couple. Thus, the experiences outlined serve as a canvas of what can be offered, inviting the couple to paint it with their own special colours, creating their own intimate occasion to bring together new family and friends in a celebration of their love. The focus is very much crafting a wedding that is personalised to each couple, using the essence of each exclusive location.

Each wedding experience includes location use for a pre-wedding shoot, wedding celebrant services, actual day wedding arch, aisle and floral décor, a celebratory bottle of champagne and five-course meal, as well as a turndown gift, wedding keepsakes and a couple's spa experience at the award-winning Spa Villages for the wedding couple. Charges apply for additional guests. YTL Hotels also offers each wedded couple complimentary two nights honeymoon at any Signature YTL Hotels property in Malaysia and Bali if booked within 18 months of the wedding.
