ANAHEIM, CALIF. (November 16, 2004) Travelers who plan ahead for their 2005 vacations will save hundreds of dollars when booking packages before the end of 2004, a trend that travel companies are creating to reward the plannernot the procrastinator who scrambles for last-minute deals.

For a limited time, Contiki Holidays, specializing in vacations for 18- to 35-year-olds, is offering companion airfare starting from just $199 to passengers who book select Contiki air-inclusive European Fly n Tour when a second identical package is booked. Offer is valid for travel in May, September and October 2005, which could mean savings of up to $400 on next years spring and fall travel. In addition, companion airfare for $499 is valid for travel in June, July, and August 2005.

In todays economy, value is king and getting a good deal on your vacation is crucial to young travelers on a budget, said Lisa Wooldridge, vice president of marketing for Contiki Holidays. With this special offer, were showing travelers that booking early does pay off.

The special $199 offer must be booked by Dec. 31, 2004 and is valid on spring and fall departures (travel between May 1 and May 31, and Sept. 1 through Oct. 31, 2005) and from select European gateways. Several tours on offer include:

NEW FOR 2005 8-day Tuscany Designed for travelers seeking a more intimate and in-depth experience, this new regional tour explores the heart of Tuscany in Italy. Staying in Siena for five consecutive nights plus two nights in Rome, travelers take a cliff railway ride into the town of Orvieto overlooking surrounding vineyards, visit the medieval-era town of Bagnoregio and enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Tuscan coast. In addition, Contiki offers a chance to discover the Chanti region by bike, go wine-tasting in a fifteenth century castle, and after picking fresh locally grown vegetables, take a cooking class to prepare a true Tuscan meal. A free day in Florence and Rome allows visitors to further customize their experience by choosing to see Romes Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Sistine Chapel and Florences Academia and Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Tour includes seven breakfasts and four dinners. Price per person starts at $1,049 land-only.

8-day Mykonos Resort and Island Cruising For travelers in search of a unique one-week Greek experience, this new itinerary combines a three-night stay at the Contiki Mykonos Island Resort, three-nights on a cruise of the Eastern Mediterranean, and sightseeing in Athens. At Contikis newly renovated resort located on Mykonos beautiful Kalafati beach, clients can relax poolside, dance the night away at the on-site nightclub Blue, or play water sports such as windsurfing, snorkeling, or scuba diving. Cruising takes travelers to Turkeys port of Kusadasi, continuing on to Santorini, Patmos and Crete, where travelers can take in spectacular Roman and Greek ruins, wander through paved streets, and mingle with locals in cafes. Tour includes five dinners, four breakfasts, three brunches at the resort, and two lunches and dinners on the cruise. Price per person starts at $1,085, land-only.

Additional Stopovers at Mykonos Resort The 18-day European Explorer, 12-day Greek Island Hopper, and 9-day Spotlight on Greece have been redesigned to include a stopover or option to stay at the newly opened Contiki Mykonos Island Resort.

Complimentary transfers All multi-country tours starting in London will finish in either Paris or Amsterdam, instead of London. Clients receive a free transfer to the airport in the morning when flying out of Paris (Charles De Gaulle) or Amsterdam (Schiphol). Or clients can choose to extend their stay and take a free transfer back to central London, arriving in the early evening.

In addition, Contiki offers guaranteed departures on select tours departing in peak season (May through September 2005).
