New Yorkshire Tourist Campaign Goes Global At World Travel Market
A new marketing campaign aimed at driving visitors to Yorkshire and helping their money go further over the Winter season is being launched by Yorkshire Tourist Board (YTB) at this years World Travel Market, the largest international industry event for tourism operators.
The campaign will be well received by those who are looking for a quality UK break which is easier on the pocket. With special accommodation rates and offers on attractions and reductions by participating businesses such as restaurants this is one promotion that many will not be able to afford to miss.
After the special launch at World Travel Market the campaign goes live on 16 November 2008 and will include a full mix of national press advertising across The Daily Mail, The Times, Sunday Times, Saturday Telegraph and The Daily Telegraph. Coupled with this, radio advertising and online activity supported by communications and PR will work collectively to spread the positive messages to the world that Yorkshire is the perfect retreat this Winter.
Gary Verity, Chief Executive, YTB says: World Travel Market is extremely well attended giving us the ideal marketplace in which to launch our new campaign which I am confident will be very well received by both UK and overseas visitors. Yorkshire is the UKs largest county, a stunning combination of exciting cities and dramatic coastal and rural landscapes, which has a diverse mix of experiences from free and budget offerings to the luxury and exclusive end of the market. We believe Yorkshire has something for everyone and this campaign aims to make it easier for people to enjoy their break and get the most out of our great value offers. Visitors to World Travel Market will be able to discover more about the region and the campaign from the YTB team on the Yorkshire stand which also includes representatives from Visit York; Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority; Visit Leeds & Leeds Hotel Association; Yorkshires Magnificent Attractions and Yorkshires Fine Hotels.
Andy Tordoff, Assistant Director of Tourism and Rural Renaissance at Yorkshire Forward comments, The World Travel Market is a showcase for some of the worlds best tourism destinations and we believe Yorkshire and Humber has a place on that stage.
We want to showcase the assets and successes of the region so that we can continue to build its reputation as a world class visitor destination and a fantastic location for hosting major events.
