Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay, in partnership with Phuket's Hotel Association members across the island, and the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation (SOS) - the first food rescue foundation in Thailand, are proud to announce their collaboration in a momentous food donation event to commemorate World Food Day on 09 October 2023. Together, these hotels and the SOS Foundation are determined to make a meaningful impact by distributing 20,000 meals to the deserving communities of Phuket.

Scholars of Sustenance Foundation (SOS) was established in 2016 to enhance the food system in Thailand, improving food equity by redistributing high-quality surplus food from businesses such as hotels, grocers, restaurants, and other suppliers to communities in need. SOS operates in Bangkok, Phuket, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, and other places across the country every day.

World Food Day is an internationally recognized occasion dedicated to addressing global hunger and promoting food security. This year, Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay, SOS Foundation, and partnering hotels have taken up the mantle to bring relief to those in need within the local community. With overwhelming support from its member properties and SOS Foundation's expertise in food rescue, the initiative aims to provide sustenance to Phuket's less fortunate residents.

Participating member properties have rallied together to make this event a resounding success. Each hotel is contributing between 100 to 1000 meals, showcasing the united spirit of Phuket's hotel community. Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay is proud to pledge 300 boxes of food to this noble cause, exemplifying its unwavering commitment to the well-being of the local community.
