WORLDHOTELS stylishly showcased their affiliates of the leading global hotel group for independent hotels and regional brands to the Australian market at imaginative roadshows and events in Melbourne and Sydney on August 10th and 14th, 2009.

The roadshow concept organised by WORLDHOTELS involved a busy schedule of client meetings, presentations and two unusual events that guests are talking about till today, said Roland Jegge, Vice President for WORLDHOTELS Asia Pacific.

All in all, the five days gave us opportunity to meet, network and present to more than 500 clients, added Mr. Jegge.

More than 100 guests from travel management companies, travel agencies, professional conference organizers and trade missions as well as corporate clients attended a cocktail event held at the Melbourne Aquarium perhaps one of the most novel venues ever for a WORLDHOTELS presentation.

The Sydney event was equally unusual, including a chocolate experience for 150 guests, learning how fine chocolates are hand crafted before enjoying them with champagne and a delectable spread at The Lindt Café in Martin Place, whilst learning about WORLDHOTELS portfolio of hotels and its unique offerings.

The events also featured lucky draws, with prizes including room stays at the participating hotels. Top prize at each event was a return ticket on Virgin Atlantic with three nights at a Jen Harbour View Suite at Hotel Jen, Hong Kong.

The affiliate hotels who participated included Hotel Jen in Hong Kong, The Empire Hotel & Country Club in Brunei, and Hotel Am Terrassenufer in Germany.

Hotel Jen, a WORLDHOTELS First Class Collection affiliate, showcased its flavour of the 'old Hong Kong' western district, with breathtaking panoramic views of the world-famous Victoria Harbour. The award winning hotel features 280 rooms and 5 Signature Suites designed to appeal to todays modern traveller.

One of the world's most opulent hotels, WORLDHOTELS Deluxe Collection affiliate The Empire Hotel & Country Club, showed how it is setting a benchmark for Asian beach, golf and spa resorts in Brunei. Located alongside the rainforests of Borneo in Brunei Darussalam, the hotel is a paradise for families, couples and corporate travellers, offering a total of 420 rooms and 47 suites elegantly furnished in imperial-standard opulence.

WORLDHOTELS First Class Collection affiliate Hotel Am Terrassenufer flew the flag for Germany, explaining the advantages of a non-smoking hotel in the centre of historic Dresden. The hotels 195 spacious rooms and suites are comfortably furnished with wireless Internet.
