WORLDHOTELS Deluxe Collection affiliate hotels in the Asia-Pacific have received a trio of prestigious travel industry awards.

Hotel Kunlun has been voted one of Beijing's top five business hotels; StarWorld Hotel and Casino in Macau collected an international honour for 'Best Casino Interior Design'; and Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur was honoured for best serviced apartments in the Malaysia capital.

Hotel Kunlun has been voted one of Beijings top five business hotels in National Geographic Traveller China Editions prestigious annual Gold List 2009.

Barry Suen, General Manager of Hotel Kunlun said, We are delighted to be recognised with such an honour as it is based on the candid opinions of readers who are experienced travellers.

Well equipped with 15 function rooms and an 800 sqm banquet hall, Hotel Kunlun is located on the bank of the beautiful Liangma River in Beijing's Central Business District. The hotel offers 660 elegant rooms and suites and fine dining for all travellers with a selection of 13 restaurants and bars.

StarWorld Hotel in Macau, which opened in 2006, scooped the hotly-contested 2009 International Gaming Award for 'Best Casino Interior Design'.

StarWorlds shimmering faade, contemporary interior and beautifully designed casino collectively triumphed over five extremely competitive properties in the category -- Las Vegas-based The Palazzo, Casino Monte Carlo in France, Shangri-La Storm in Russia and the Isle Capri and Opera House, both in the UK.

Deputy Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group, Francis Lui applauded "a group of very talented architects, engineers and designers who invested enormous effort to develop this stunning property".

The 39-storey StarWorld Hotel offers 507 rooms, all with spectacular panoramic views and suites with a double layer exterior glass wall that creates enchanting visual effects as a result of superimposed images and reflections.

The Residence at Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur was meanwhile voted 'Best Serviced Apartment in Kuala Lumpur' in Lifestyle & Travel Asia Pacific Magazine's Readers Choice Awards 2008.

It was acclaimed for incorporating the convenience and luxury of a 5-star international hotel in the heart of Kuala Lumpur with the priceless comfort of home for business travellers on extended stays.

Prince Residence has 160-well appointed and fully furnished one-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom apartments, family apartments and a penthouse apartment for short and long-term guests. Recreational facilities include a fitness centre with workout studio, tropical garden, and landscaped swimming pool with Jacuzzi, Kids Club and award winning, resort-style Mandara Spa.

"These accolades underline the commitment and efforts of WORLDHOTELS affiliates in the Asia-Pacific to offer above and beyond superlative service standards for business and leisure travellers," said Roland Jegge, Vice President Asia Pacific for WORLDHOTELS.
