WorldHotels

Shanghai, 26 November, 2013) - True to Worldhotels' brand promise of delivering world-class hospitality and authentic local experiences, affiliate hotels - Ambassador Hotel Taipei rooms now come with PURE Air and Air Weave Mattresses for perfect rest, and Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu's local delicacy tour will leave you with fond memories to reminisce of Taiwan's distinctive flavours.

PURE Air and pure rest at Ambassador Hotel Taipei

The bustling capital of Taipei offers endless options for dining, entertainment and cultural encounters. After a long day, guests will find the perfect retreat in the Executive Floors of The Ambassador Hotel Taipei, where new PURE Rooms and Air Weave Mattresses create the ideal conditions for relaxation and sleep.

Invented by US-based PURE Solutions, PURE Rooms are designed especially for those who are allergic or hyper-sensitive to airborne irritants. The patented, seven-step PURE process cleans room surfaces and filters out 99% of interior air pollutants via an air handling unit equipped with anti-microbial TeaTree Oil cartridge and air purification system. To ensure the body's skin and airways remain irritation-free during sleep, the PURE process also fits beds with hypoallergenic mattress and pillow encasements. The result is an odour-free interior full of pure and fresh air.

Famously used by Olympic athletes and national sports teams, Air Weave Mattresses are made from woven resin fibres that support the body from every angle and more comfortably distribute its weight. Far more resilient than ordinary mattresses, the Air Weave gives a feeling of buoyancy and also has outstanding air permeability and a washable core for added comfort and hygiene. Sleeping on an Air Weave Mattress has been imaginatively described as sleeping on clouds.

Ambassador Hotel has designated 37 of its Executive Floor Rooms for the PURE treatment, and guests staying in the Executive Room can upgrade to a PURE Room for only NTD990 per night. To enjoy the benefits of an Air Weave Mattress there is no upgrade charge; guests can simply book any of the hotel's Executive Twin Rooms on the 10th and 11th floors.

Sumptuous Hsinchu showcased in tour at Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu

Tasting unique local foods is one of the chief pleasures of travel, but finding the best places to eat in an unfamiliar destination is always a challenge. Unless, that is, your destination happens to be Hsinchu, where the Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu brings you the most delightful flavours of the city bundled into one convenient delicacy tour package.

Typically taking 2.5 to 3 hours, the tour includes shuttle bus drop off at Hsingchu's historic Cheng Hung Temple and stops at five of the city's finest snack shops. Participants can enjoy mouth-watering non-fried spring rolls made by the Guo family, which has been offering this famous delicacy to city residents for five generations. Equally delectable are the sweet and salty Chai Shu Cakes and Chucian Pies filled with juicy meats and veggies at Xin Fu Zhen, another generations-old establishment. Sticky-rice dumplings provide further gustatory flights of ecstasy. Each dumpling has chunks of pork and other ingredients whose flavours melt into the sticky rice, the whole package bundled in smoky-flavoured Indacalmus leaves. Delicious rice flour noodles in soup and Taiwan's famous pearl milk tea are among the other tour highlights.

The local delicacy tour package at Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu includes a booklet with route map and detailed descriptions of delicacies, as well as 200 Taiwanese dollars in pocket money. The genius of the package is that it gives you everything you need - knowledge, directions, transportation and money - to enjoy some of the best tastes in the city with no inconvenient interruptions.

"Ambassador Hotel Taipei and Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu both rank among the top luxury hotels in their respective cities," said Roland Jegge, Worldhotels Executive Vice President Asia Pacific. "It is impressive to see leading and well-established hotels such as these two continue to innovate and find new ways to delight their guests."

"As members of our Deluxe Collection, both properties have everything you would expect from a luxury hotel, including excellent restaurants and health facilities," Jegge continued. "These new offerings -- the PURE Rooms and Air Weave Mattresses at Ambassador Hotel Taipei and the local delicacy tour at Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu -- bring further opportunities for Ambassador guests to enjoy their stay in Taiwan."
