World Travel Award Gold For Expanding UK Business

Real Russia

The 2013 World Travel Awards, the “Oscars” of the travel and tourism industry, recently took place in Antalya, Turkey. Having been runner-up twice before, UK based company Real Russia is delighted to announce that this year they have won the prestigious title of “Russia’s Leading Travel Agency 2013”.

Real Russia has come a long way since starting as a home business in Cheshire and opening their first office in Volzhsky, near Volgograd back in 2003. Today, recognised globally as the leading provider of Trans-Siberian and Russian rail services, the company has offices in London and Loughborough in the UK, Moscow and Volzhsky in Russia and Timisoara in Romania. The company successfully competes in this complex market alongside major international organisations and has provided support to hundreds of thousands of customers travelling to Russia and the region. Chris Watkins, Managing Director of Real Russia attributes their success to, “The quality of our staff, they really care about what they do and are experts in their field. They always work hard to make sure every customer is happy, going above and beyond what is needed time after time.”

Watkins attended the Gala Dinner and awards ceremony on behalf of Real Russia. It was a night full of glamour, excitement and celebration with the whole of Europe’s travel elite present. Accepting the award on behalf of Real Russia, he confirmed, “Everyone at the company is absolutely delighted, we couldn’t have achieved a better award than this”.

The category for Russia’s Leading Travel Agency had tough competition from world class organisations, including previous WTA winners. Although the competitors were strong, it was Real Russia’s services that shone through to be voted as the best by their satisfied customers and partners. Chris Watkins highlighted, “It’s our team of dedicated specialists who assist customers with a variety of travel requirements including complex rail journeys, tours, accommodation and visas that have helped us to win this award. They see it as their job to ensure their customers have a safe and enjoyable stay in Russia”.

Watkins added, “This award is voted for by the people to whom our service is being delivered. If they didn’t like what we were doing, then they wouldn’t vote for us. To me there is no higher accolade than one that is voted for by your customers. I must thank all of our customers, partners and affiliates for taking the time to cast their important votes. And of course, special thanks go to all of our staff, winning this global award is a true reflection of their commitment and hard work”.

The company specialises in helping people to experience the best this country has to offer, not just in the classic destinations of Moscow and St Petersburg, but also to help them explore and discover the diverse and untapped mystique of "Real Russia". In celebration of winning this award the company has made a donation to their chosen charity The Promise, a charity which takes care of orphaned children in Russia.
