World Footprints Radio Show has won the Caribbean Tourism Organization's (CTO) annual award for Best Broadcast Feature, also known as the “Golden Mic” category.

Hosts/Producers Tonya and Ian Fitzpatrick took home the Golden Mic award for their noteworthy April 2013 broadcast of Palm Island and the Tobago Cays, as part of a multi-series of interviews during their press trip to the 32-isle nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The awards were presented at this year's Caribbean Media Awards Luncheon for ministers, commissioners, tourism directors, and heads of delegated. The luncheon was held on Thursday, June 5 at the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel, recognizing media and honoring their top Caribbean stories of 2013. The awards luncheon was part of the annual Caribbean Week in New York led by the CTO.  Caribbean Week is a celebration of the sights, sounds, colors, talents, diverse culture and unique vacation experiences of the Caribbean, as tourism is the driving engine for many Caribbean countries.
