Wonderland Sydney last night was presented with the highest industry accolade when Sandra Nori MP Minister for Tourism announced the winner of the Major Tourist Attraction during the 2002 New South Wales Tourism Awards for Business Excellence.

The New South Wales Tourism Awards for Business Excellence highlights the best the State has to offer. The Awards acknowledge the tourism businesses that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success during 2002.

Upon receiving the award Stephen Galbraith CEO of Wonderland Sydney said,

�Having weathered such turbulent times over the past few years in the tourism industry, winning this award is a true testament to the whole team, overcoming these adversities. Our staff are the strength and backbone of our business, they should be congratulated.�

�The last time we received this award was in 1997, we have come a long way.�

To top this off, Wonderland Sydney recently signed a major licensing deal with MARVEL Enterprises Inc, one of the worlds largest entertainment companies. The partnership will see super hero characters such as Spider-Man, The Hulk, Green Goblin and many more launch into the park for the Christmas school holidays.

Wonderland Sydney will now proceed to the National Award, to be presented at Adelaide in February 2003.

Wonderland Sydney is the largest theme park in the Southern Hemisphere. Home to international characters such as SHREK, Blinky Bill and Action Man plus some of the fastest and largest rides in Australia.
