The hugely anticipated Ghostbusters remake has recently hit Australia's big screens and an onslaught of crazed fans have their proton packs loaded and are ready to be spooked. Situated in the woodlands and surrounding Mt Fuji, lays the haunted Aokigahara Forest, which is said to be home to a sea of ghosts and haunted skies. Tale be told, over 500 deaths have occurred in these dark woods and it has become one of the world's creepiest destinations.

Today, the island is covered in spooky dolls with severed limbs and decapitated heads and it has been said that at night, the dolls move, whisper and open their lifeless eyes.

Visitors have reported hearing screams, doors slam and the tugging of clothes. This is enough to un-nerve the hardest of mediums.
