Craft Beer Tasting at the Cave & Basin Historic Site
The first-ever Banff Craft Beer Festival will be taking place at the home of Canada's first national park. The Cave and Basin is beautifully set at the base of Sulphur Mountain, and is now home to the world's most beautiful beer festival. The historic Cliffhouse Bistro will open for moonlit dining at 7,000 feet on full moon nights, creating the unique opportunity for an evening of magical dining overlooking the Bow Valley. Guests ascend on the North American Chair to this high alpine eatery to dine fireside on the culinary creations of Chef Morne Burger.
From Glacier to Glass at Banff's Distillery
This is the first winter visitors can take a taste of the mountains home with them, as Park Distillery has recently launched Park Vodka. Distilled on site at Banff National Park's first distillery, Master Distiller Matt Hendricks uses water originating at six Rocky Mountain glaciers and grain sourced from high-altitude family farms in the Alberta foothills, to create Park's first spirit
Sushi & Ski
Indulge in elevated dining at Lake Louise Ski Resort's recently renovated mountain-top Whitehorn Bistro, with its upscale menu by Executive Chef Scott Green who recently moved to the Rockies from his world-renowned Las Vegas resort. Another new addition this year is a sushi bar located at the base in the Lodge of Ten Peaks.
The theme of delicious seafood at high altitude continues at Sunshine Village, where the Eagle's Nest Dining Room in the Sunshine Mountain Lodge will be serving oysters and caviar – the perfect decadent addition to a night in Banff National Park's intimate on-mountain lodge.
