SKYVALL New Gondola Loudenvielle to Peyragudes
The new gondola lift SKYVALL opened summer 2019, connecting the village of Loudenvielle at 900m to the bottom of the pistes of resort Peyragudes at 1600m for tourism year round. 700m vertical drop instead of 12 km by road with travel time less than 9 minutes -1000 people /hour 10 M€ Investment.
GRAND TOURMALET
Hands Free Fun - Ice Tyro Zip Line
Speed across a unique frozen landscape of waterfalls and through snow-laden forests, over 400 meters of thrilling terrain on this daring zip wire.
Accessible to all in an exceptional setting, the Ice Tyro is guaranteed to be an unforgettable adventure.
Lofty Living
Spend a quirky night in the newly opened “Pigeon Loft” in nearby Gerde, a few kilometers from Grand Tourmalet.
A triple-story Rapunzel style stone tower is accessible by ladder; these beautiful dovecotes overlook the valley below. After a day on the slopes, enjoy a warm outdoor bath to the chorus of nature's feathered friends.

AX-3 DOMAINES
No Work Like Snow Work
The Ax-3-Domaines station now boasts a brand new snow making plant in the Bonascre area. Previously concrete, this new eco building is made entirely of wood and is located deep in the heart of a pine forest. Saving energy in the form of water, air and electricity, production capacity totals 1,700 m3/hour - one of the largest in the French Pyrenees.
Up, Up and Away
A new 4-seater chairlift "le Bisorne" has been installed from Campels (1,520m) up to Saquet (2,000m). With 134 seats and a flow of 2,000 people per hour, this will now allow the skier to descend directly down to the valley at Bonascre.
CAUTERETS
Fast Food
A brand new meal delivery service has gone live in Cauterets. Orders are taken via a smartphone app and “homemade” quality meals delivered to the chalet door.
Skinning Up
A brand new ski touring course offers a more relaxed pace of ski life - learn the basics of ski touring in a totally secure environment. Spend a couple of hours gaining a vertical drop of almost 600m, this exciting new course is set to attract greater numbers of ski tourers to the region.
SAINT-LARY
Husky Encounter
Professional musher Paul proudly escorts visitors around the newly opened "Husky's Lair" to discover the world of Husky dogs. The tour experience ends with Husky cuddles, brushing and feeding.
LES ANGLES
Eco Upgrade
"Les Pélerins" gondola at Les Angles has undergone an overhaul and now takes skiers from the base station at 1,600m up to Plateau de Bigorre at 2,100m. This vital link now enables direct access to a vast ski area, including all beginner sectors. New solar panels now bring light and sound to the cabins.
BALNEA
Take The Plunge
The newly opened Mayan Baths offer blissful bathing in outdoor pools up to 27 degrees and include bubble beds, swan collars to revitalize aching shoulders, foot jets and wave pools. Open to the whole family (from 9 months)
