Isle Of Eriska 20 Jan 2014
Wine Expert Philippe Larue And Multi-Award Winning Food - The Ultimate Recipe For A 5* Weekend In Scotland

The Isle of Eriska

The five star Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa and Island, located just off the West Coast Highlands of Scotland is welcoming guests to tantalise their taste buds at their luxurious wine weekend. Accompanied by wine Connoisseur Philippe Larue and their very own multi award-winning chef Ross Stovold, the luxury stay will run from Friday 14th March 2014 to Sunday 16th March 2014. The gastronomic weekend includes dinner bed and breakfast and time to explore the endless possibilities that the stunning 300 acre private island has to offer.

The two night stay will be focussed around Saturday night's gourmet meal. Ross and Philippe will be developing a menu and pairing of wines to showcase young 2nd and 3rd Generation wine producers from France, emphasising their breadth and depth of ability. The expertly selected wines will suit the exquisite flavours of the food, combined with a unique education in wine tasting by the French born Philippe who has garnered over 15 years experience in the fine wine industry. Guests will be well and truly taken care of with Eriska's second to none hospitality, also providing breakfast, afternoon tea and Friday night's dinner in the package.

The wide range of raw ingredients produced on the 300 acre island is unparalleled by most places in the UK. This provides the ideal base for Michelin star chef Ross Stovold who thrives on enhancing natural flavours in his dishes. Guests can expect to find a variety of mouth-watering starters and main courses, with one fish from the surrounding waters, a meat dish from the hills surrounding the island, and a final vegetarian alternative inspired by one of the gardens or larders close to hand.

There are a multitude of activities to enjoy: the Isle of Eriska is rich in life and a nature lover's haven. When not taking in the sights of the stunning island, otter spotting from the new look out point or exploring the coastline through sailing, kayaking or fishing, there is a 9 hole golf course from which to enjoy the stunning setting.

All this is topped with some of the most breathtaking sunsets and views all the way to the distant Highlands, which can rival any other. Alternatively, guests can take advantage of the indoor heated pool, sauna and steam room; or for the ultimate indulgence, enjoy a luxurious treatment at the ESPA Spa.

There are 25 luxurious bedrooms at the hotel each with their own unique interiors plus views over the loch with the highlands in the distance. Where better to take this in from than a private hot tub of the two bed-roomed Cottage Suites.

Rates for the wine weekend are from £400.00 per person for two nights. This includes breakfast mornings, afternoon tea, and a gourmet meal complete with expertly chosen wines combined with wine tasting.
