Stay in Devon is offering the opportunity to win the ultimate family half term holiday in Devon. A host of Devon businesses have donated prizes and the winner will receive accommodation at Woolacombe Sands Holiday Park, free entry to fantastic attractions including The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Keypitts Off-Road Adventures, RHS Gardens Rosemoor in Torrington, a surf lesson with Surfing Croyde Bay, a colourful beach bag from The Old Bag Company, a Devon hamper full of local produce courtesy of The Healthy Haven, and to top it off, a meal at the King’s Arms Restaurant in Georgeham.
The competition is part of a wider campaign to coincide with the British Travel Awards as Stay in Devon is representing the county in the Best UK Holiday County or Region category. As part of this, the company have also produced an infographic to promote tourism in the area. Managing Director James Morris states “We are constantly looking at ways to increase visitors to the South West, and we feel that this campaign is a great way to help boost tourism in the region. As people who live in, work in, and genuinely love Devon, we are perfectly placed to encourage people to enjoy a holiday in the county”.
The summer has already started strongly, and Stay in Devon has seen a sharp increase in visitor numbers with traffic to their website, www.stayindevon.co.uk, increasing a significant 12.05% in one month from June to July. With a host of Devon ambassadors supporting the campaign, it is hoped that the trend will continue and the region will carry on seeing an increase in visitor numbers for the remainder of the summer.
