Wild West World full of events with less than 30 days to go!
Wild West World Theme Park is hosting several events in the month of April, with less than 30 days to go until its big cowboy Grand Opening.
On Saturday, April 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the Spring Arts and Crafts Fair will be held in the Johnny Western Theatre. Admission is FREE and folks can come and browse among some of the finest handcrafted and original arts and crafts around. The Prairie Rose Wranglers will be entertaining guests in the afternoon.
The 14th Annual Park City Bluegrass Festival moved from the Kansas Coliseum to the Johnny Western Theatre at Wild West World on April 26, 27 and 28. The daily stage shows begin at 1:00 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Some of the bands include The Village Singers, The Louisiana Grass, The Dillards and Shadow Creek. Tuesday, May 1, 2007 will be an historic day in Kansas as Wild West World opens to its distinguished guests, V.I.Ps and members of the local media. Media members will be encouraged to attend to get a first hand look at the largest all-cowboy theme park in the world. V.I.P. Day begins at 10:00 a.m. with a welcome from C.E.O. Thomas Etheredge and other distinguished guests. The day will last until 4:00 p.m.
Finally, and most importantly, Wild West World opens its gates for the first time to the citizens of Kansas on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. This will begin the first season of this true family-oriented theme park. Currently, there are over 13,000 Season Pass Holders that are transferring their vouchers to actual Season Passes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Season Pass Office. The pre-season price of $50 per person will only be available for the next 30 days until the park opens. After Grand Opening, the price for a Season Pass will be $76.50 per person.
As of today, all rides at Wild West World are installed. Paving of all pathways is underway and landscaping has begun. Wild West World will open on time so all Kansans can enjoy themselves this summer at Kansas� Largest Attraction!
Wild West World is the first major theme park in Kansas and the world�s only all-western theme park conveniently located 4 miles North of Wichita on I-135 at 77th Street North (exit 16). Wild West World is owned by Restoration Farms and is a sister attraction to the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper and Hopalong Cassidy Cowboy Museum.
