WILDfest™ captures just such moments with an adventure packed program of whimsical wilderness experiences, like the WILD CANOE journey - gliding through an eerie Sunken Forest of the Yarrunga Creek in custom-built, double-canoe rigs with Champagne and Forest Canapes on ice. 

Take in the magnificent spectacle unfolding on the riverbanks as abundant birdlife and native fauna come to life against the dramatic backdrop of a convict-built sandstone road that winds through the dense forest.

This is a must-do WILDfest™ experience with sessions available in the dappled light of morning, at noon or on dusk.

Developed exclusively for WILDfest, the Wild Canoe experience is led by professional paddling instructor Travis Frenay of Paddle and Portage Canoes. Travis's unsurpassed knowledge of the local landscape will enhance your overall experience of this magic setting

The Wild Canoe experience is just one of many bespoke activities to have been designed exclusively for the 3 day, adventure-packed, WILDfest™ Southern Highlands long weekend; each one as wild and unexpected as nature herself.

Among other experiences not to be missed - The WILD NATIVE FEAST as narrated by our award-winning chef Damien Monley out under the milky way amid the remote ruins of Joadja Old Town – glow-in-the-dark forest bowls – trekking to the top of a magnificent escarpment where deck chairs and fine wine await your arrival for sunset.
