Why Dont You Stay.Just a Little Bit Longer.

York Tourism Bureau

Echoing the tune of the 1960s hit song Why dont you stay, just a little bit longer, by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs, Yorks Tourism Bureau has this month launched a new promotion to get visitors to stay longer in the city.

York is once again offering great deals on hotel and guest-house accommodation from November until the end of March.

This year visitors can choose from bronze, silver, gold or platinum categories, costing 59, 79, 99 and 149 respectively this represents the total cost per person for a three night stay, starting at a two-star rating and going up to a four-star. You can save up to 50% off the published prices for hotel and guest-house accommodation so long as you stay for a minimum of three nights.

The Stay Just A Little Bit Longer promotion runs until March 2004 and aims to get the message across that two nights is simply not long enough to take in all that York has to offer.

No other English city offers the layers of history, beauty and sheer diversity of York. Take one wonderfully-well preserved walled city which has seen 2000 years of vibrant history, add bustling shopping streets, quaint tea-shops, cool cafes and numerous award-winning, world-class attractions, and youve got the perfect holiday destination.

With over thirty museums, galleries and tours to choose from in its compact centre, Englands Best Historic City offers something for everyone whatever the time of year. To book a three night stay visitors can call the Tourist Information Centre on 01904 621756 or use the dedicated hotline number 08701 203115. ENDS
