Who's Hot and Who's Not in Hollywood? Celebrity-Central Starline Tours knows and tells with its annual Top Ten List

StarLine Tours

LOS ANGELES- Katy Perry is the new buzz in Hollywood, beating out Simon Cowell and Michael Jackson in past years on Starline Tours' Top Ten Most Requested Homes in 2012.

It's back—the visitor poll Starline Tours conducts with passengers on whose home they most want to see.  This year, Katy Perry's place was the most requested.  Simon remained as number two, but Ellen Degeneres turned up as number three with her recent home move in July.   "Ellen is a perennial favorite because she is so nice to her fans, always stopping to wave or talk," said Philip Ferentinos, Director of Starline Tours.  "And this summer, she spoofed one of our tours on her TV show by clandestinely conducting a tour as if she was a Starline guide."

Tom Cruise moved from spot number three to four, although there was a flurry of excitement during the fast and furious divorce coverage. (The Today Show used Starline Tours to get footage of the home during their coverage.)  Christina Aguilera, with her new album and high ratings on "The Voice" made it back on the list while Elvis Presley is also back in the spotlight, with the 35th anniversary of his death pulling at fans' heartstrings.  The Hillcrest home he once occupied is currently on the market for $12.9 million.

Who slipped from the list is often as interesting as who appeared.  Michael Jackson and Jennifer Aniston slid off the list, as did Dr. Phil and the Playboy Mansion.  The list is below.

Starline Tours polls passengers aboard the Malibu Movie Stars' Homes Tour for the same top ten list.  Cher has remained number one for three years running, and Leonardo Di Caprio stays at the number two spot again this year, as does Bruce Willis at number three.  Matthew Perry—new this year— ties Willis for number three, and Adam Sandler and Courtney Cox both hold number seven.  Charlize Theron, not a fan of adoring fans, has dropped off the list, as did John Cusack and David Spade. But Paris Hilton, who is living in her parents' compound, crept on to take the number nine spot, and Stevie Nicks' tour has created more interest in her abodes, so she finishes the list at number ten.   The Malibu Movie Stars' Homes Tour departs daily from Santa Monica Pier.
