1st August, Singapore 2014 – Trafalgar, (www.trafalgar.com) the global leader of guided holidays, has teamed up with Sgtravellers.com for the second year running to conduct its annual poll to discover 2015's most popular long haul holiday destination amongst Singaporeans. In light of a very successful survey in 2013 whereby Switzerland, Italy and Spain came in first, second and third respectively from more than 30 cities and countries polled, Trafalgar and SG Travellers look forward to finding out the next most desired destination. The poll last year attracted more than 5,000 participants nationwide.

The findings last year were both insightful and valuable; this is especially so when you have a very travel-savvy market like Singapore where holidays have become a necessary way of life. With this, it is good to see what the travel needs and aspirations are like for Singaporeans. While there may be popular destinations that usually come out tops from the poll, there may also be indications of other far-flung destinations such as South America. For all we know, the next travel 'frontier' amongst Singapore may be unveiled and I look forward to knowing what travelers want in 2015.” said Nicholas Lim, President of Trafalgar (Asia).
This year, more emphasis on South American destinations such as Peru and Brazil has been added to the poll in view of the visibility that was generated due to the FIFA World Cup in the months of June and July.
From 1 to 31st August, The Trafalgar and SG Travellers Survey will be available at www.sgtravellers.com. Participants who take part in this online survey will also stand a chance to win a Trafalgar Holiday for two to Prague, Vienna and Budapest with airfares included.
