The Star

This March, The Star has plenty to keep you entertained, from delectable dining offerings and hotel packages to live music and comedy nights.

DINING
Month of Tuna - THE STAR'S SIGNATURE RESTAURANTS - March 1 - 28
For the month of March, The Star's signature restaurants Balla, BLACK by ezard and Sokyo will be creating special menus featuring the most mouth-watering fresh tuna Australia has to offer. Choose from Italian-inspired cuisine at Balla; grilled goodness at BLACK by ezard; or Japanese fusion at Sokyo.

Balla
The Star's very own Italian, chef Stefano Manfredi, has created a menu that features yellowfin tuna battuta with flat bread and radish salad ($19); squid ink taglioni with albacore tuna, capers, olives and fresh oregano ($26); woodgrilled blue-fin tuna with borlotti bean and balsamic onion ($41). Enjoy individually of as a three-course menu for $675.
Available for lunch Tues - Fri and dinner Mon-Sat.

BLACK by ezard
Chef Teague Ezard has created a menu including Bluefin tuna tartar, avocado and fried rice with chilli and garlic dressing ($30); veal tenderloin with albacore tuna butter, eggplant, zucchini and heirloom tomato ($44); and sashimi of yellow fin tuna, smoked skipjack and potato salad, with quail egg and dill dressing ($30).
Available for lunch Fri and Sun, and dinner Tues-Sun.

Sokyo
Sokyo will be serving an a la carte menu specially created by chef Chase Kojima, who has come up with some special dishes that you'll adore. Includes "Zuke Sushi" which is marinated tuna with nikiri soy ($12); Maguro tataki with pickled shitake, white asparagus, gari gel and tosazu ($29); South Australian Bluefin tuna sashimi sampler (market price); as well as a limited edition dish, tuna collar grilled on binchotan with Sokyo dipping sauces ($50).

Strictly Ballroom pre-show dining - THE STAR'S SIGNATURE RESTAURANTS - from March 25
Strictly Ballroom: The Musical will begin previewing at Sydney Lyric at The Star on March 25, with the show officially kicking off April 12. To give theatre-goers the ultimate entertainment experience, The Star is offering a number of pre-show dining offerings at its signature restaurants with menus designed to get you to the show in time.

Balla
A little piece of Italy with Sydney's best view, Stefano Manfredi's Balla is a modern interpretation of traditional Italian cuisine. Guests enjoy a memorable dining experience overlooking Sydney's Harbour Bridge and city, with dishes that reflect Manfredi's dedication to delivering truly authentic cuisine. Balla has a delectable pre-theatre menu for Strictly Ballroom show-goers, including a 2-course option for $49 per person and 3-course option for $55 per person.

BLACK by ezard
BLACK by ezard, is a contemporary Australian grill offering classically-inspired food styles influenced by great American grills and contemporary Europe. The restaurant features signature seafood dishes along with grass-fed, grain-fed, wet and dry aged beef specifically sourced for the wood fired grills, and also offers an international cellar boasting roughly 770 labels including Sydney's best representation of American wine. BLACK's pre-theatre menu includes a 2-course option for $65 per person and a 3-course option for $75 per person.

Sokyo
Where the buzz of Tokyo meets a Sydney beat, Sokyo is a contemporary Japanese restaurant where chef Chase Kojima showcases his impeccable union of traditional craftsmanship with an innovative take on contemporary flavour. An homage to stylish and sophisticated dining, guests can enjoy the chilled out sounds of the resident DJ, while a house Sake Sommelier is on hand to advise on the perfect Sake companion to the entire experience. Sokyo's pre-theatre menu offers a selection of sashimi, tempura and hot dishes at just $50 per person.

Rock With Laughter Comedy Night - Thursday 27 March, 7pm
Rock With Laughter Comedy Night is back again on Thursday 27 February, with funnyman David Eastgate headlining this hilarious line-up, including Matty B and Jordan Raskopoulos from Axis if Awesome. Mikey Robbins will be lending his comedy expertise to host the ever-popular event, with comedy-goers also able to enjoy a $9.50 tex-mex bar menu. No cover charge; doors open at 7pm, first in best dressed. 

Original Sin - ROCK LILY - every Friday in March 
INXS tribute band Original Sin will be coming to Rock Lily every Friday night in February, bringing you INXS classics to help you unwind at the end of your working week. Kick back to the sounds of one of Australia's most successful bands, whilst enjoying Rock Lily's range of beer, cocktails and of course some of the world's most sought after tequilas.
