Audain Art Museum - Opening early 2016: The iconic 55,230-square-foot museum will house a unique collection of British Columbia art in the heart of Whistler Village, and will be a pillar of the cultural tourism experience in Whistler, British Columbia and beyond. http://www.audainartmuseum.com/
Scandinave Spa Expansion: The Scandinave Spa in Whistler will be expanding their facilities with a scheduled opening for Fall 2015. The brand new building totalling 4,144 square feet will feature spectacular views of Whistler, Blackcomb and Sproatt mountains, and include a steam room, sauna, multi-purpose yoga studio, relaxation room and a sun deck. The expansion will add to the already existing hydrotherapeutic bath experience just five minutes north of Whistler Village. Whistler Film Festival: The festival will take place from December 2 - 6, 2015. Renowned by filmmakers and film lovers alike, the Whistler Film Festival is a place where artists are celebrated, audiences are inspired, and new ideas enter the cultural dialogue through innovative and original films and unique industry initiatives. PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola recognized in the 2015 edition of the Guinness World Records Book: The gondola was recognized as holder of two records: Highest cable car above ground and Longest unsupported span between two cable car towers. Since its opening in 2008, the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola has inspired guests from across the globe to glide 436 metres above Whistler's valley floor, suspended between two towers at the record breaking distance of 3.024 km apart.
