What's New in Ontario!

Destination Ontario

Ontario has two new attractions to offer international travellers.

Hornblower Niagara Cruises will be the official Canadian boat tour operator of boat tours to the waterfalls of Niagara Falls beginning in spring 2014.  Providing early morning, afternoon, evening, falls illumination and fireworks boat tours to the iconic Falls, Canada. The brand new, two tiered Hornblower boats will have viewing platforms on levels, a dry area and a snack concession stand.

Open since autumn 2013, the new Ripley's Aquarium of Canada is one of the largest in North America. Located in downtown Toronto at the base of the CN Tower, the 12,500 m2 (41,010 ft2) facility has a capacity of 5.7 million litres (1.5 million gallons) and hosts over 16,000 marine inhabitants, including sharks, jelly fish, rays and green sea turtles. The highlight of the aquarium is undoubtedly the “Dangerous Lagoon”, home to a variety of shark species including Sand Tiger, Sandbar and Reef Sharks. Through the middle of Dangerous Lagoon is a 96 m (315 ft.) glass tunnel with a moving sidewalk allowing guests an immersive experience with incredible up close views.   For added adventure, guests can sleepover in the Dangerous Lagoon tunnel as part of the Overnight Reef Adventure package.
