What's New in Jacksonville: The Ale Trail Adds Breweries and Jax Beach Pier Re-Opens

Jacksonville, Fla. (Aug. 30, 2022) – The Jax Ale Trail is expanding once again to include two of Jacksonville's newest breweries, Historically Hoppy Brewing Company in Springfield and Myrtle Avenue Brewing in the Rail Yard District. The addition of these brings the total number of Ale Trail breweries to 25.

The Jacksonville Beach Pier is officially open after three years of closure following damage from Hurricanes Irma and Matthew. The Pier is open daily from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. for walking and fishing. Learn more on the Visit Jacksonville blog

Additional new restaurants, attractions and things to do in Jacksonville include:

  • Cultural Kitchen Catering – The former Wurstbusters and 904 Twisting Roots food trucks have joined to open this brick and mortar location in Mandarin.
  • Dreamette – The newest location of one of the area's most popular ice cream shops is in Springfield.
  • Homespun Kitchen – Serving delicious, healthy food in the second area location now in Five Points.
  • Tetherball Coffee – A small sunlit coffee spot in Mandarin.
