Ipswich parking spaces to be taken over by art and music
From Friday September 16 – Sunday September 18 six car parks along Brisbane St will be transformed into mini-parks for art, greening and play or, put simply, re-imagining a parking space as a people place. Installations include musicians, additional temporary greening elements and outdoor seating as part of this 3-day international Park(ing) event. The 3-day trial will allow for additional engagement with community members and businesses to understand what they want to see on the street whether it be more trees, more outdoor seating or is it more programmed activity.
