New at Haven for 2015
Next year Haven will be investing over £54 million back in to their holiday parks and there will be new swimming pools, restaurants, landscaping and pitch developments and new accommodation all being built over the next few months ready for the parks opening in March. Haven.com has had a re-fresh which has been focused all around improving the customer journey to make their online discovery effortless and engaging. Designed to aid the discovery of product specific information, provide a simple way for customers to view and interact with content, imagery and videos (on any device) and uses icons as a visual indicator of park facilities.
Sports extras
- There are several new sports and leisure activities and facilities coming in 2015 including new adventure trails at Craig Tara and Haggerston Castle
- Football Academy – This activity is available at all parks except Reighton Sands, Riviere Sands and Lydstep Beach; our sports coaches will teach your kids (aged between five and 16 years) all kinds of football tips and tricks. And we'll award prizes and certificates to everyone who takes part.
- For 2015, there will be zip wires at Quay West, Reighton Sands and Caister-on-Sea, who will also have a climbing wall!
- There will be a new Aerial Adventure at Haggerston Castle, for even more fun to be had on park!
Great Outdoors
- There will be new play parks coming to Riviere Sands, Seaview, Church Farm, The Orchards, Perran Sands (touring), Rockley Park, Hafan y Mor and Thorpe Park.
- Get out there in style with Segways coming to Haggerston Castle and Craig Tara. There will also be Easy Gliders at Doniford Bay, Lakeland, Marton Mere and The Orchards.
- For 2015 each holiday park will have a Go Explore activity which shows off the beautiful settings and wildlife that is unique to each park!
- After huge success in 2014 with our 'Nature Rocks' activities, 22 parks will now have their own Park Rangers offering a whole array of nature activities. You can choose between a range of activities, from bug hunt safaris, shelter building and fire lightings, pond dipping and guided nature trails to stone skimming tournaments and mini nature activities.
For the pools
- Across all the parks (excluding Lydstep Beach) we are introducing Aqua ZStomp for anyone eight years and older. This high energy aquatic exercise is perfect for those looking to make a splash and learn some new dance moves on their holiday!
- Holidays makers at Craig Tara will be able to enjoy a completely refurbished indoor pool complex. This refurbishment will include a new toddler's pool, multi-lame speed slide, water jets, waterfalls and flume rides. This amazing complex will be opening in Easter 2015!
- The indoor pool at Littlesea is being refurbished to allow Holiday makers the ability to enjoy poolside water sprays and spouts, a poolside viewing terrace and a welcome and refreshment counter, so you'll be able to buy freshly made coffee and ice creams.
Food and Drink
- There will some new developments in Haven's eateries. Allhallows will see their bar and restaurant refurbished and extended to reflect its enchanting position on the Kentish coast, this will include a poolside dining terrace, TV sports area and patio with panoramic sea views.
- The bar and restaurant at Seashore is being refurbished so it will have an all new beachside terrace ideal for al fresco dining, seaside lounging areas, children's sandy play area and direct access on to Great Yarmouth's glorious beach.
- The bar and restaurant at Hopton is being extended so there will be even more opportunity for you to enjoy delicious meals.
- Alongside this there will be a new fish and chip takeaway at Burnham-on-Sea and the Burger Kings at Combe Haven and Hafan Y Mor are being refreshed!
FunStar and Seaside Squad activities
- We have a new interactive activity for children in 2015 called Sign a Song. Polly & Ned from The Seaside Squad educate the little ones with sign language through fun songs and actions.
- 'The Big Beach Blog' is running all season and is totally free! Take the chance to become a reporter, photographer and newspaper journalist for the day to let everyone know the breaking news about your holiday.
- Try your hand at the coconut shy, hook a duck, tin-can alley, splat the rat and so much more this 2015 with our 'We're Gonna Be Fair' activity. Suitable for all the family and the kids even get the chance to look after their own stall!
- Another addition to 2015 is our 'Pop Up Puppet Theatre Co' that is running through the whole season. Here all the family can experience some crazy character fun in this seaside favourite.
- 'FunStars Go Outside' will be coming to parks in summer 2015. The FunStars will be making the most of this rain or shine with a collection of games and activities for all the family to enjoy.
Evening Entertainment
- Keep your eyes peeled because in 2015 the 'Pop Idol' that is Gareth Gates and West End star Jonathan Wilkes will each be touring certain parks throughout the summer.
- The FunStar team are coming back stronger than ever with loads of new shows for you. There's 'Destination 90s' featuring some of the best tunes from the 90s so grab your baggy jeans and turn that baseball cap backwards.
- A really exciting addition to 2015 is the CSI: Children's Seaside Investigation. Let your little ones become super sleuths in this big and bright touring attraction. They will sing, dance and by inspired by Hugh Dunnett and his live band!
- In 2015 there will be a marvellous musical for kids of all ages called Musikids coming to a selection of parks. Sing along to music from Matilda, Frozen, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Lion King.
- Nickelodeon's Go Go Go Show is coming to all our parks! Get ready to sing and dance with the whole gang and grab a selfies with them after the show.
- This 2015 we will see a new show called 'Back to Reality', where we have a host of reality TV stars performing their live shows across all the holiday parks and even better, you can put questions to them via social media.
- Some of the UK's finest impressionists will show off their talents in our new 2015 show, 'Making an Impression.' There will also be performer workshops where the whole family can learn the art of impressions.
