New lodge for Hong Kong Disneyland
Dedicated to the spirit of exploration, the new Disney Explorers Lodge will feature four distinct gardens based on exotic cultures from around the globe, along with new themed restaurants, a shop and a large outdoor swimming pool. The 750-room hotel opens in Q2 2017.

Shangri La to open Kerry Hotel
The new five-star Kerry Hotel, due to open in April, is conveniently located on the picturesque waterfront of Hung Hom Bay. The property boasts the largest hotel meeting, event and catering facilities in Hong Kong and offers guests a wide variety of dining options, including four restaurants and a bar.

Luxury landmark hotel opening, The Murray
In the heart of Hong Kong, on the legendary Cotton Tree Drive, The Murray, a Niccolo Hotel is due to open in October as the city's newest, luxury iconic hotel. The flagship hotel, built in the historic Murray Building, will feature five restaurants and bars including a rooftop restaurant and bar with panoramic views of the city and Hong Kong Park.

Marriott coming to Ocean Park
Hong Kong's Ocean Park will open its very first hotel, the Ocean Park Marriott Hotel, in late 2017. Located in front of Ocean Park's main entrance, the 471-room hotel will feature three separate wings, a themed lagoon pool, children's play area and alfresco dining sections.

Rosewood Hotel set for Hong Kong
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will open its first Hong Kong property in 2018 in a prime Victoria Harbour waterfront location. Occupying 27-floors of the former New World Centre on Salisbury Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, the hotel will offer 398 guestrooms, eight dining options, a fitness centre, swimming pool and Rosewood's holistic wellness concept.

A boost for Hong Kong's Central
In April, Hong Kong's Central district, including Sheung Wan and Soho, will be re-launched with a bright new name. As the oldest district in the city, the area is an eclectic blend of old and new, with its cobbled streets, laneway bars, cafe's, galleries and boutiques alongside historical buildings, traditional eateries and markets. There will be a series of new self-guided walks available for visitors to explore the history, art and dining scene.

Former Central Police Station turned culture hub
In once a closed off part of Hong Kong, Tai Kwun, Hong Kong's former Central Police Station is undergoing major restorations and will open in 2017 bringing a wide range of heritage, contemporary art and leisure programmes to the space. 16 heritage buildings and several open spaces are being restored and two new buildings have been added to the site to house a world-class art gallery space and a 200-seat auditorium.

New art tour to celebrate Arts Month
To celebrate Arts Month in Hong Kong a new walking tour will be introduced, The Pedder Building Gallery Tour, which explores the exhibitions enclosed in the historic Pedder Building. The tour will run every Saturday in March. The duration is two hours and cost is $250 HKD (approx $43.80) per person.

New express link to Hong Kong's south side
The opening of the MTR South Island Line in December 2016 has connected Ocean Park, Wong Chuk Hang, Lei Tung and South Horizons to central Hong Kong. In particular, Wong Chuk Hang is emerging from their industrial past into an exciting art precinct. Don't miss the Blindspot Gallery, Sin Sin Atelier and the Empty Gallery.

Moi Moi by Luke Nguyen
The first Hong Kong restaurant from Aussie chef and TV personality Luke Nguyen has opened in Central, serving up casual Vietnamese bites including pho and street snacks. The focus is on traditional family recipes and the restaurant's design, inspired by chef Nguyen's travels.
