Think! Social Media

All Welcome to Sydney #TourismTweetupSydney

Sydney Tourism Tweetup will be a special one this month with guests from the wine and hospitality industry sharing 'What the Wine Industry Can Teach the Tourism Industry about Social Media'. To be held at Harts Pub Tuesday 16 October, this free event is perfect for those using, or planning to use, social media within their business or organisation.

Event guests include Trish Barry from Mastermind Consulting. Trish pioneered many of the leading Australian wine social media initiatives like the Rose Revolution, Chardonnay Day, Brand Tweet Ups and Ustream interactive sessions. Trish will share her insights into several wine social media campaigns she has been involved in plus discuss what learnings can be taken from wine and applied to the tourism and travel industry.

Poppy Gresson General Manager of Coast Restaurant in Sydney will also attend. Poppy is the organiser and host of the fantastic wine event #Spitbucket. Poppy will chat about #Spitbucket and the impact this event has had on both business at Coast and the wine and hospitality industry in Australia.

Tourism Tweetup started in early 2011 as an opportunity for those working in tourism marketing to come together to chat about the use of social media as a marketing tool. It is a free event run by Holly Galbraith, strategist at Think! Social Media.

"Tweetup's are great for generating new ideas, sharing knowledge, meeting like minded people and collaboration and networking leading to business opportunities which is what we have seen a lot of at Tourism Tweetup" says Holly Galbraith.

Tourism Tweetup will be held at Harts Pub, 176 Cumberland St Sydney, Tuesday 16 October from 6pm. Tourism Tweetup is a free event however RSVP's are appreciated.
