LOS ANGELES, CALIF. — Kicking off the holiday season with a special offering for shoppers, Westfield Century City today debuts the Gift Box, an exclusive collection of holiday vending pop-ups. The one-of-a-kind vending machines are created in partnership with standout L.A. brands Alfred Coffee, Poketo, and Gray Malin. In addition to featuring goods not available anywhere else – including Alfred Coffee hats and exclusive Poketo prints – Gift Box machines also hold a set of Golden Tickets. Attached to randomly selected products, Golden Tickets entitle shoppers to prizes including one year of Alfred Coffee, Gray Malin prints, and a Poketo brunch and studio tour. Bridging the shareable with the shoppable, Gift Box machines are Instagram-enabled, giving shoppers 10% off their purchase when a festive photo is shared.
One of L.A.'s favorite neighborhood coffee spots, Alfred Coffee's Gift Box stocks a variety of branded potables and swag ($10-$24). Poketo, a purveyor of made-in-L.A. design wares, is vending signature notebooks and 'art for your everyday' accessories ($6-$60). Celebrated L.A.-based fine art photographer and tastemaker Gray Malin, who has previously collaborated with Westfield Century City on a public art installation, is showcasing graphic iPhone cases and cocktail kits ($24-$49). Local brands and design-driven retail are a taste of what's to come in the modernization of Westfield Century City, set to open its first phase in Holiday of 2016.
“We're excited to share this holiday moment with our shoppers,” said Myf Ryan, Westfield Corporation spokesperson. “We're always looking for new ways to partner with brands to create exciting retail offerings and customer experiences in our centers.”
The Gift Box will run through New Year's, and is one of many holiday treats Westfield Century City has in store for the season. With the focus on making holiday shopping easy and fun, the center will be introducing Curbside pickup, as well as complimentary valet parking with a $500 purchase. Reports from the North Pole also forecast Santa Claus will be visiting the center, with surprises in hand for good girls and boys.

ABOUT ALFRED COFFEE
Alfred {Coffee & Kitchen} is a neighborly coffee shop that started along charming, tree-lined Melrose Place in 2012. There are currently locations in LA, West Hollywood, Brentwood and Silverlake (with Studio City and a Melrose Place Tea Room debuting in early 2016). While each location offers a very distinct design aesthetic and vibe, they all boast what Alfred has become known for: friendly baristas, plenty of patio seating, and of course, the best cup of coffee in LA!
ABOUT POKETO
Founded in 2003 by husband-and-wife team Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung, Poketo is a lifestyle brand and purveyor of design-driven wares meant to instill art into everyday living. Over the years, Poketo has grown from an upstart creative enterprise to an online destination with two retail locations in Los Angeles: The Poketo Flagship in the Arts District of Downtown LA and Poketo at The LINE Hotel. Both locations regularly host art exhibitions, workshops, and more, acting as hubs for the local creative community. In addition to collaborating with over 200 international artists on exclusive products, Poketo has worked with notable companies and brands including Nike, SF MoMA, De Young Museum, Disney, Target, and Nordstrom.
ABOUT GRAY MALIN
Combining the spirit of travel and adventure, photographer Gray Malin envisioned his eponymous lifestyle brand from a deep passion for photography and interior design. Gray Malin's bold photographic works forge the synergy between wanderlust and adventure, transporting the viewer to another place, and bringing people together to share in this explorative spirit. Malin's early notable work, Prada Marfa, put him on the radar of fashion and art enthusiasts and he became commercially recognized for inventive aerial beach scenes. While each body of work is exclusively his own vision, Malin has collaborated with global brands including Sperry Top-Sider, Orlebar Brown and Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts.
