DRIFT Retreat – wellness in a tower

DRIFT Retreat offers a wellbeing experience with a Jersey twist, combining surfing and yoga with delicious nourishing food. The day retreat is based on the west coast of the island and located in an historic Jersey Heritage Tower. Guests will start their day with a morning yoga stretch, followed by surf sessions, stand-up paddle boarding, sound baths and meditation, all surrounded by five miles of National Park pristine beach. Food is at the centre of everything they do, with organic vegetarian dishes served at every meal – with as much of the produce plant-based and locally sourced as possible. The menus are designed by SCOOP (the Sustainable Co-operative) to support local food systems and minimise waste.

Secluded SUP Yoga in Bouley Bay

Visitors can refresh and rebalance with a SUP Yoga fitness class while floating in one of Jersey's beautiful secluded bays, Bouley Bay. Feel inner peace and improve core strength while balancing in nature, as the sun rises and the stress fades away. With its dramatic scenery of towering cliffs and a coastline stretching two miles, Bouley Bay makes for the perfect location to unwind. The bay looks across towards the Normandy coast and visitors may be able to spot dolphins swimming off shore past the harbour.

Coasteering, climbing and caving in Jersey

Thrill seekers can get a natural high whilst discovering the island's beautiful coastline with Jersey's original coasteering company, Jersey Adventures. Ambitious adventurers can take part in two hours of swimming, climbing, caving and discovering secret bays. Coasteering Jersey, provides the majority of tours from two locations, one starting at Greve De Lecq in the northwest, the second from Gorey to the east.

Surfing at St Ouen's Bay – Best for water sports

With the third largest tidal range in the world, Jersey is home to one of Britain's oldest surf schools, which has been hiring out boards since 1948. The west coast bay of St. Ouen's is a surf paradise, where explorers can paddle out to locations such as Secrets, The Watersplash, Le Braye, La Rocco, Petite Port and Stinky Bay. It also offers three miles of sand banks that are perfect for both beginners and experienced surfers alike, as well as several cafes and restaurants to retire to after a day in the water.

Plémont Bay – best for exploring

Plémont Bay is a hidden gem that cannot be missed when visiting Jersey. Nestled between soaring cliffs and rock pools, the northwest sandy beach is also home to naturally formed caves and a waterfall. There are plenty of rock pools to keep kids entertained, along with gentle surf and shallow water to play in.

Dive into Jersey's rich history

Dive in and discover some of Jersey's rich history underwater, including WWII wrecks, as well as numerous aquatic species, including shrimp, scallops, pollock, bass, Wrasse, flat fish, lobster and more. Bouley Bay is suited perfectly for beginner and advanced divers alike, but other sites around the island are just as popular, such as Greve De Lecq and St. Catherine's Bay. Grab a snorkel and expect some fascinating sightings in warm, clear waters during the summer months of 15 – 20°C

St. Brelade's Bay

With soft golden sand and swaying palm trees, St. Brelade's Bay provides a more sheltered option than the bays on the west coast. The south-facing beach is a beautiful, secluded option, loved by visitors for its safe swimming. Flanked by higher ground, the sheltered bay is a natural south-facing suntrap, and shallow waters make this beach the ideal spot for swimming and watersports.

Snorkelling in Portelet Bay

Discover what lies beneath Jersey's newest snorkel trail, Snorkel Portelet. Created by Blue Marine Foundation and in partnership with the Societe Jersiaise, the self-guided trail offers beauty and diversity, showcasing the islands rocky reefs where ballan, spider crabs and snakelocks anemones can be found below the waves. Set in Jersey's first No-Take-Zone, this designated area is restricted from any fishing to protect Jersey's marine species. Located in the southwest corner of the island, visitors can detach from the world and take in this little oasis of island isolation.
