On 24th October all eyes will be on sleepy Kingsbridge in South Devon which has been given the opportunity to host the Flat Water Distance Race as part of the UK Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) National Race Series 2015.  This will be an exciting day out during a half term break  with Toad Hall Cottages www.toadhallcottages.co.uk  who have a selection of self-catering cottages in the area still available for half term, or for an active break learning SUP, the fastest growing sport in the UK. 

Hosted by local company Waterborn SUP www.waterborn.uk.com the Flat Water Distance Race in Kingsbridge is the last race of the series, comprising of nine events across the UK, and will see 150 entrants from all over the UK compete on the calm waters of the Kingsbridge Salcombe Estuary. Spectators will have a clear view of the event from the waterside, and as this is the last event will also have the chance to watch the crowning ceremonies for the UK SUP Champions including a Junior SUP Champion.

The Kingsbridge Salcombe estuary is an ideal place to learn this family friendly activity in stunning surroundings.  Several local companies including Waterborn SUP and Triocean Surf www.trioceansurf.co.uk  offer SUP tuition and board hire this half term and throughout the year for adults and children from 8 years old.
