Looney Tunes characters are transformed in traditional Chinese Costume to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

In celebration of Chinese New Year - the Lunar New Year of the Goat - Warner Village Theme Parks, encompassing Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World and Wet �n� Wild Water World have welcomed hundreds of Chinese tourists.

From 1 February until 7 February 2003, guests of Warner Village Theme Parks will be treated to seeing their favourite Looney Tunes characters dressed in traditional Chinese costume.

Welcoming guests into Warner Bros. Movie World have been Bugs Bunny and his girlfriend Lola Bunny in traditional Chinese dress posing for pictures and even sharing a traditional Chinese meal.

Warner Bros. Movie World has also themed particular areas of the park to coincide with the Lunar Year of the Goat by utilising Chinese artefacts and traditional Chinese good luck charms, as well as serving traditional Chinese meals consisting of chicken, fish and rice at some restaurants within the park.

With more than an 18% growth in tourists from China in 2002, Warner Village Theme Parks are dedicated to positioning the Gold Coast as a major tourist destination and are constantly striving to employ new initiatives to welcome tourists to Australia�s theme park capital.

Director of Marketing of Warner Village Theme Parks, Mr. Ken Minnikin said that the Chinese New Year is a fantastic time for Warner Village Theme Parks as hundreds and hundreds of Chinese tourists visit the park.

�It is essential for Warner Village Theme Parks to make sure that all of our tourists visiting the parks during Chinese New Year get to experience just some of the festivities and entertainment unique to this celebration,� Mr. Minnikin said.

Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny can be found in traditional Chinese costume at Warner Bros. Movie World until February 7, 2003.
