Warner Village Theme Parks welcome Paradise Country to the family!

Warner Bros. Movie World

Warner Village Theme Parks expand portfolio thanks to the purchase of Paradise Country Recreation Farm and Function Centre.

Warner Village Theme Parks (WVTP) have officially commenced the operation of Paradise Country, the recreation farm and function centre situated in Nerang, Gold Coast.

A major coup for WVTP, the group will utilise the wonderful attractions and experiences presented by Paradise Country to offer guests an authentic Australiana and farm experience, in an effort to complement their ongoing and extensive marketing activities in major international markets.

Chief Executive Officer of Warner Village Theme Parks, Mr. John Menzies said that WVTP is excited by the opportunities Paradise Country will offer the group to grow the international market, and enhance the Gold Coast regions promotional efforts in major international territories.

Paradise Country will be a fantastic addition to the WVTP portfolio, Mr. Menzies said.

We are already committed to providing all visitors to the Gold Coast with the highest quality entertainment the most unique, magical and memorable rides, attractions and experiences so for us and our guests, Paradise Country will only heighten the experience and entertainment that we have to offer, Mr Menzies said.

In addition, WVTP will bring to Paradise Country the many vast and varied resources it possesses in currently operating the best theme parks in Australia Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World and WetnWild Water World.

Due to our well-established infrastructure and marketing and sales network, as well as our close relationships with the Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow families, WVTP have the resources and ability to effectively market Paradise Country to the domestic and international market, Mr. Menzies said.

Paradise Country will continue to operate at its present site at Nerang, Gold Coast until October this year.

It is envisaged that Paradise Country will be relocated to Oxenford and positioned next to WVTP latest development, The Australian Outback Spectacular, opening 2004.

The decision to relocate Paradise Country was due to economies of scale in utilising already established infrastructure and the ability to keep and maintain horses and other animals on this large area.

An advantage to this site is the clear visibility of the new attraction from the Pacific Motorway combined with easy access and well established transport links from Surfers Paradise and Brisbane.

Paradise Country, a daytime experience, will compliment The Australian Outback Spectacular excellently, ensuring that this attraction is the largest and most spectacular outback presentation in Australia.

Paradise Country will provide koala and kangaroo displays, billy tea and damper around the campfire, boomerang throwing, whip cracking, horse drawn wagon rides, sheep dog muster, stock horse round up and cow milking.

WVTP has already forged solid relationships and partnerships with over 150 trade operators and tourism organisations both nationally and internationally, leaving them in good stead to take Paradise Country and The Australian Outback Spectacular to the world.

Extensive research by the Australian Tourism Commission, Tourism Queensland and the Gold Coast Tourism Bureau highlighted the fact that international visitors are in search of a typical Australian experience, and to learn about Australia and its rich heritage and culture.

Due to the current world climate, international numbers to the Gold Coast have dropped. Our research shows us precisely what international visitors are looking for to be enticed back to the destination and we are going to provide them with exactly that, Mr. Menzies said.

WVTP is looking forward to welcoming Paradise Country to Australias premiere theme park and entertainment precinct.

Warner Village Theme Parks bringing people together of all ages, cultures and backgrounds to enjoy the highest international theme park standards of quality, fun and entertainment.
