Wax Museum at Fisherman

The Wax Museum at Fishermans Wharf features more than 300 wax celebrities encompassing all aspects of life from history to todays news, including world leaders, religious icons, heroes, villains, historic figures and stars of the entertainment world. Since the San Francisco attraction opened in 1963, millions of visitors have come face to famous face with uncanny life-size doubles of their favorite personalities, handcrafted by master sculptors. In celebration of 40 years as one of Californias premier attractions, the Wax Museum at Fishermans Wharf recently inducted six of todays most brilliant Stars of the entertainment and sports world to join its fascinating collection of celebrities. The difficult choice of who the new inductees should be was decided by gate survey of the museums guests.

Madonna, featuring her latest look, was the top choice to join contemporary musical icons Britney Spears and Ricky Martin. Academy Award Winners Jack Nicholson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman were unanimously voted to join their famous peers, such as Julia Roberts and Mel Gibson, while the incredible five-time winner of the Tour de France, cyclist Lance Armstrong takes his rightful place in our Sports Heroes Hall of Fame.

The Wax Museum is located in a new, 100,000 square foot, state-of-the-art building at Fishermans Wharf, on Jefferson Street between Taylor and Mason and is open every day of the year, rain or shine!
