SINGAPORE, 26 March 2014 – Reviving the classics and celebrating the dining excellence in Singapore, W Singapore – Sentosa Cove combines our gourmet experience with Asia's premier gastronomic event – the Would Gourmet Summit (WGS) from 26th March to 5th April 2014.
Redefining boundaries of traditional and modern gourmet cuisine, Masterchef Sergi Arola and Hosting Chefs Matthew Woolford and Andrew Nocente will feature a WGS Epicurean Delight from 31st March to 2nd April. Featuring a menu specially curated for three nights only, enjoy the Arola Classic Appetizer Set with Gazpacho Sfere, Patatas Bravas, Barceloneta Bomb, Calamari Sandwich and Tortilla de Patatas. Start with Smoke Betroth Ravioli, with Celeri Dashi and Truffle followed with our Revisited Tuna “Blanquette" with Vegetables. End off with Pork Cheeks stuffed and lacked with Goat Cheese, with Berries and Pickles and indulge in Catalan Crème Brûlée with Mandarine Sorbet and Cookies Mousse after.
Kicking off W Singapore's first WGS activity this year would be our Food Station at the WGS Gourmet Golf Experience on 2nd April from 1pm-6pm. Serving up to a 130pax, the menu will feature Dungeness Crab with Cucumber and Watermelon Ketchup, Twice cooked Rib Fingers with Roast Vegetables and Pink Peppercorn Pavlova with Mixed Berries, all served in hors d'oeuvres style.
The gastronomic experiences do not end here. Join us as our chefs tantalize your taste buds through the Gourmet Golf Experience happening on 2nd April, the WGS Telmo Rodriguez Wine Dinner on 3rd April and the WGS Charity Dinner on 4th April. Taking a notch higher to whet your tastebuds, meet Telmo Rodriguez in a Spanish Wine Tasting event on 3rd April, from 6pm-7.30pm. Indulge in the wonderful flavours as he shares his life and wine lessons; recounting his journey as he creates wines across Spain. The Spanish wine dinner will feature a 6-course set dinner created by Master Chef Sergi Arola in collaboration with the W Singapore's culinary team. Courses will be paired with wines from Telmo Rodriguez.
While WGS celebrates gastronomic excellence, the event does its part for the society by through an annual WGS Charity Dinner to raise funds for the community chest of Singapore. Held on 4th April, from 7pm – 11pm, profits from the ticket sales and funds raised from a charity auction will be donated to the community chest. Expect for an explosion of flavours through the WGS Charity Dinner, helmed by Chef Sergi Arola together with five of W Singapore's chefs – Director of Culinary, Matthew Woolford, Chef Andrew Nocente, Chef Eric Lee, Chef Suparat Somkoon and Chef Larry Li.
