The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is the prestigious award that honors excellence in hospitality, given to hotels, resorts, restaurants and travel-related establishments that consistently deliver the great services and experiences and achieve exceptional travelers' reviews on TripAdvisor.

To be eligible for the award, an establishment must sustain an overall grading of four or higher out of five from travelers' reviews on TripAdvisor.com. A volume of reviews received within the 12 months prior to the final score calculation date are also part of the criteria. Consequently, only small number of hotels listed on TripAdvisor.com have been awarded this certificate.

2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is the 3rd consecutive award W Retreat Koh Samui received from TripAdvisor since opening. The first award was the Travelers' Choice Awards in 2012, followed by a Certificate of Excellence in 2013.
