Su-Man 'Facial Pop-Up' from 5 - 11 October 2013

SEMINYAK, BALI -W Retreat & Spa Bali - Seminyak will host facialist to the stars, Su-Man exclusively at the award-wining AWAY® Spa Bali, where she will be offering her 'five star facial' as denoted by Tatler Magazine UK. She will be providing her 60-minute signature treatment as part of the 'Facial Pop-Up' at AWAY® Spa for six days, only in October 2013.

Based in London and loved by a number of A-lister stars including Anne Hathaway, Juliette Binoche and Frieda Pinto, Su-Man has built a reputation over the past ten years for her shiatsu and Pilates inspired facial massage and its reported non surgical face lift effects

Described as an alternative to Botox, her much-desired techniques aim to reawaken the skin through massage by plumping, nourishing and lifting the skin. Her signature treatment includes an initial skin analysis, firm shiatsu massage for the scalp, arms, hands and feet to release underlying tension that can interfere with the natural beauty of the face. This rebalances the energy and moisture in the skin and reawakens and revitalises all the muscles in the face, neck, décolletage and shoulders. Each facial step is applied through carefully designed massage techniques developed exclusively by Su-Man.

Originally from a farming family in Taiwan, Su-Man reverts back to the knowledge she gained about nature and beauty which was passed on from generation to generation. At a young age, she learnt the power of touch through massage. "I think my background on the farm, the body skills I have acquired combined with my love of improving people's health and beauty are the ingredients that make up my signature facial," says Su-Man. She first discovered shiatsu massage after a major back injury whilst performing as a professional dancer with Belgian dance company, Rosas. Her career as a dancer provided her with a greater appreciation of the body and her ability to connect with it. "I think the whole body is connected. Your face shows everything that's happened to you. Therefore for me a facial cannot just become a superficial thing, I need to connect the body and the chakras. When I touch you we both make a connection and your body guides me, telling me where to go. So it's very intuitive. And by doing that I see great results."  she added.
