DREAM OF SAILING AN OCEAN? You can sail the Atlantic Ocean as hands-on guest crew on a tall ship from Canada to Europe or Canada to South America this September… no experience needed.
Past sailing experience isn't necessary but a passion for adventure is a must for anyone wanting to take part in the month-long voyages east or south.
Both tall ships are taking part in the Canada 150th celebrations, tall ship's festival and races during the summer before setting sail from Canada's east coast to continue their ocean wandering.
On board, the guest crew will have plenty of time to learn the skills needed to sail a tall ship while getting plenty of salt in their hair as they experience life as an ocean sailor. Once the ship has left port travellers will be assigned to the watch system – setting sails, on look out, on the helm and much more.
It's a hands-on experience and a real trip of a lifetime that's perfect for adventure seekers, grown up gap years, work-breaks or sabbaticals, intrepid retirees, bucket-list ticking, experienced and novice sailors alike and ocean-wander-lusters!
