VisitHampshire's 'Summer Moments'

Visit Hampshire

Visit Hampshire has launched an online Summer Moments campaign, packed with ideas and inspirations for the school holidays, and beyond.

Ranging from suggested short breaks that can be enjoyed with families and friends, the campaign also highlights everything from cool glamping opportunities, through to the weird and wonderful.

Who would have thought, for example, that Hampshire is where you'll find the 118-year-old Handyside Bridge, which featured in the Harry Potter films as the boarding point for the Hogwarts Express; that Hampshire was where the phrase Sweet FA originated; or that Winchester's Great Hall is 'home' to legendary King Arthur's Round Table?

But some of the very best insider tips and inspirational ideas are to be found in a compilation of seven separate Top Ten lists, which include:

10 Days Out For Free

10 Days Out For Rainy Days

10 Sunny Days Out in Hampshire

10 Days Out in Hampshire For Two

10 Days Out in Hampshire For Teenagers

10 Days Out in Hampshire For Young Children

10 History & Heritage Days Out in Hampshire

Hampshire is also shown to be the place where it's possible to come face-to-face with a penguin, prepare for battle, walk in Jane Austen's footsteps or take a trip into outer space.

From museums to zoos, cathedrals to adventure parks the Summer Moments campaign highlights the full range of Hampshire's top attractions.  Most are highlighted in a convenient listing; and some are also featured in a “special offers” round-up for the summer months.
