The national tourist board for England, VisitEngland is delighted to announce its partnership with the RaboDirect Rebels Rugby union team as naming rights sponsor for its 2014 Gala Ball, to be held on May 10th.
Jeremy Brinkworth, Project Director, Rugby World Cup for national tourism agency, VisitEngland, says "Australia is a huge rugby loving nation and we are expecting thousands to visit England to support the Wallabies in their bid to win the cup.
"More than 930,000 Australians visited England in 2012 and with one of the world's largest events being held there next year; we are anticipating this figure will rise considerably. The time between fixtures will allow visitors plenty of opportunity to explore the English host cities and regions beyond.
"Our partnership with the Melbourne Rebels will enable us to reach a targeted audience to promote and create awareness of Rugby World Cup 2015," said Brinkworth. "They are a very professional organisation and we look forward to helping to make the night a total success."
The Rugby World Cup 2015 will be held in 11 host cities across the north, south, east and west of England, as well as Cardiff in Wales, from September 18 to October 31. 48 matches will be played by 20 nations over 44 days. With only 18 months before kick-off, it is an ideal time to start planning your visit to England.
