#VisitEd Photo Competition

The Edinburgh Collection

The Edinburgh Collection is excited to announce the winner of the #VisitEd photo competition that was held in the first quarter of 2014. The competition's aim was to showcase Scottish heritage around the world during the year of Homecoming Scotland. We had asked our fans and their friends to take a picture of themselves with a Scottish landmark, local object descendent from Scotland or anything else that would scream Scottish!

The amount of photographs that we received was overwhelming and it took a lot of careful selection by The Edinburgh Collection judging panel to choose 9 best photographs and put it up for public voting. The most voted photograph, and the winner of the #VisitEd photo competition is Sari posing with one of the cannons on Edinburgh's Castle with a panoramic scene of the city as a background. We would like to congratulate Sari and all of the other contestants who took their time and put in effort to join us in promoting Scotland and its heritage!

We would like to give special mention to Emily S. whose photograph of the Lake Tekapo in Mackenzie County, New Zealand was extraordinary and unique.
