VisitDenmark will attend IMM to promote a range of Danish destinations and initiate collaboration with British media for 2019. Partner destinations for the year to come include capital city Copenhagen, vibrant second city Aarhus, new wellness and gastro hotspot Vejle, family holiday heaven LEGOLAND Billund Resort, as well as Denmark's scenic Northernmost region North Jutland. And with Ryanair's new regional flights from Liverpool and Southend to Copenhagen, from Edinburgh and Manchester to Billund and SAS' new route from Manchester to Aarhus Denmark becomes even more accessible from the UK in 2019.
This year will also see a host of hot new attractions set to open across Denmark with high flying Copenhill and Camp Adventure taking guests to new heights. It's the last chance to see Rubjerg Knude lighthouse in North Jutland before it's relocated. In Copenhagen there's a choice of exciting new dining options, the opening of the new Cityringen Metro and with a 13% increase in hotel rooms in 2019 the capital is geared up to welcome more tourists than ever. But so is the rest of the country. Second city Aarhus will see the opening of Sandinavia's first Radissson RED and the city's first boutique design hostel will take up the space of an old library. The iconic Svinkløv seaside hotel on the coast of North Jutland is currently being restored to its former glory and will reopen next year after it tragically burnt down in 2016. Families and children of all ages can live the fairytale at the original LEGOLAND in Billund when the brand new fairy-tale themed Castle Hotel opens for business in April 2019.
