VisitBritain Appoints Rupert Peters As Regional Manager, The Americas

VisitBritain � the authority for tourism in Britain � has appointed Rupert Peters as Regional Manager for the Americas, based in New York City.

According to VisitBritain chief executive, Tom Wright:

�Rupert Peters brings a wealth of experience in international destination marketing to The Americas. He will play an integral role in positioning VisitBritain for growth in this market.�

Mr. Peters will be responsible for VisitBritain�s operations in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and the United States. He will also spearhead VisitBritain�s business travel, consumer marketing and travel trade campaigns, as well as work closely with industry stakeholders to elevate Britain�s visibility in the region.

Rupert Peters has held several international managerial positions during his 18 year tenure with VisitBritain. Recently, he has served as Regional Manager, running operations in Australia and New Zealand from the Sydney office. He has previously held several managerial positions for VisitBritain, overseeing operations in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, Spain and Portugal, as well as Sweden and Finland.

Rupert Peters says:

�Britain has diverse and unique products for the business and leisure traveller. I am honored to bring my international marketing experience to the Americas to position it for growth in the years to come.�

Born and educated in Britain, Rupert Peters graduated with an honours degree in Politics from Warwick University. He also holds an MBA from Warwick Business School. He currently resides with his wife and two children in Westchester County, New York. He is an avid sports fan with special interests in golf, rugby and soccer.
