VISIT SICILY'S FAMOUS FILM LOCATIONS IN A VINTAGE FIAT

SoloSicily, the Sicilian villa specialist, is introducing vintage tours for its guests in classic Fiat 500s, visiting film locations, vineyards and the picturesque towns and countryside in eastern Sicily.

The two half day tours are accompanied by a tour guide driving his own Fiat 500.  The first tour takes guests around the most notable film locations from 'The Godfather' trilogy, including the hilltop towns of Savoca and Forza d'Agro, a stop at the famous Bar Vitelli and a return journey along the coast to Taormina. The tour lasts around three and a half hours and covers a distance of about 50 kilometres.

The second tour visits the wine region on Mount Etna.  Setting off from Taormina, the journey travels through the Alcantara Valley to the Alcantara Gorges, stopping to admire the Alcantara River and basalt rocks.  The tour continues to the towns of Castiglione di Sicilia and Linguaglossa and includes wine tasting at one of Etna's famous vineyards.  The tour, which covers about 60 kilometres, takes about four and a half hours.

Prices for the vintage tours with a tour guide are approximately £696 (900 Euros) for two vintage cars (four to five people).

Guests can also rent a vintage Fiat 500 without a pre-arranged tour and discover the sites under their own steam.
