Culture, music, architecture, arts and crafts, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the European Capital of Culture 2025: Meet Saxony, Germany's number 1 cultural travel destination, on the first ever digital ITB and be surprised by the region's diverse attractions and destinations.
As the “Official Cultural Destination of ITB Berlin NOW 2021”, Saxony is due to celebrate a world premiere at this year's ITB and the first German federal state in the over 50-year history of the world's largest tourism trade show to be so prominently featured.
Headlined "SAXONY - FEEL THE ART BEAT", Saxony Tourism (TMGS – Tourismus Marketing Gesellschaft Sachsen) will be promoting Saxony as a prime cultural and city break destination together with 26 other partners from the arts, culture and tourism. Travel media and trade trade professionals are invited to follow the region on the newly created digital trade fair platform https://www.itb.com where Saxony presents travel highlights every day from 8 am to 8 pm CET in a dedicated Show Room in talks and webinars which focus on different themes, e.g., the largest exhibition to date on the painter Johannes Vermeer in Germany in Dresden 2021, new classical music festivals such as WAGNER 22 in Leipzig, special events on occasions such as 450 years of Augustusburg Castle or Chemnitz, the European Capital of Culture in 2025. In addition, there will be information on new offers and experiences that highlight Saxony's stunning nature and landscapes, such as the opening of the BLOCKLINE as a new biking adventure for the whole family in the Ore Mountains, known as a mountain bike paradise, and the Saxon Hiking Day 2022 in the Vogtland region. Presentations will be in German, English, Russian, Polish, Dutch, Italian and Mandarin.
For a "cultural appetiser“, join the " SAX-Talk – Appetisers from Saxony“ presentation on 10 March from 11 to 11.30 am CET in the Culture Café to virtually experience classical music, festivals, old masters, urban art, industrial culture, architecture, palaces, castles and Saxony's beautiful towns and cities.
The programme of exclusive interviews, films and presentations will be published on Saxony's Brand Card in due course. Using the guest code ITBNOW-MFGN3CH6Q8Y4ZFT9, travel journalists and travel trade professionals will get free access to the region's presentation area including the Show Room, cafés, press conference and exhibitor presentations. To register, please click here, copy the above guest code in the "Redeem a voucher" field and follow the instructions. Individual meetings can then also be arranged via the Brand Card.
