MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., March 16, 2023 – Visit Myrtle Beach is excited to announce the appointment of Denielle Van Dyke as public relations manager.
“We are thrilled to have Denielle on our Visit Myrtle Beach team, where she'll be able to share her passion for The Beach to an international audience by working with travel writers, social media influencers and all who tell our unique story,” said Karen Riordan, Visit Myrtle Beach president and CEO.
As the public relations manager, Van Dyke leads Visit Myrtle Beach's communication agencies and partners to create innovative media strategies to increase the public's awareness of the destination and its visitor attributes. Through generating media coverage, Van Dyke will help drive the region's visitor demand and economic impact.
“I'm thrilled to be a part of the fabulous team at Visit Myrtle Beach who are dedicated to sharing the stories that make our destination so captivating. I look forward to bringing my insider's knowledge on all the region has to offer to this position and contributing to my community's success,” Van Dyke said.
Van Dyke is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C., where she earned her bachelor's degree in marketing and her master's in business administration. Most recently, she served as the marketing director for Monarch Roofing in Myrtle Beach and the Marketing Manager for Dick's Last Resort corporate office in Nashville.
She formerly served as an ambassador for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, graduated from Leadership Grand Strand Class 42 and Changemakers Class of 2023, and is involved in various other community initiatives.
Van Dyke resides in Myrtle Beach with her husband, Bobby, their two-year-old daughter, and their dachshund named Pop Tart and cat named Key Key.
