Friday 14 – Monday 17 April 2017

This Easter, visitors to Holkham Hall in Norfolk, from Friday 14 – Monday 17 April, will be welcomed for an egg-stra special four-day long weekend of family friendly Easter themed activities.

Holkham's Easter Bunny will be on hand to set visitors on a special Easter trail in the Field to Fork Experience; an interactive and engaging experience about food and farming on the Holkham Estate. Here the whole family can learn about the food chain from farm to plate even learning about how malt is turned into delicious Maltesers.  Little visitors can take turns at milling flour, test their foodie knowledge with a quick-fire table-top game and enjoy the perfectly documented short film; 'Holkham Year'.

Then it's a short hop over to Holkham Hall, which will be decorated for the occasion with a vibrant display of spring flowers. Children can enjoy the Footprint Quiz to learn about the tell-tale signs of the different wildlife that roam the estate and master the art of origami by creating their own special Easter rabbit. Whilst downstairs in the historical 'Old Kitchen', there will be plenty of opportunity to get creative with the Kiddy Cook team who will be on hand to help ice and decorate delicious Easter biscuits with imaginative designs.

After visiting the Hall, the Easter Express will transport visitors to the Walled Garden where the fun continues at Party Animals where visitors will get to interact with furry friends. There will be plenty of Easter games, quizzes and face painting to try and a visit to the storyteller's enchanted yurt where different cultures will be brought to life through amazing stories, music and dance.

Easter is one of the few opportunities throughout the year to visit the Hall on a Friday and Saturday. With a dazzling array of different activities on offer, Holkham is a fun day out for the whole family this April.
