Visit Guernsey Urges Visitors To Spread The Love With Its Innovative Social Media Campaign, LoveGuernsey

Visit Guernsey

VisitGuernsey has re-launched a pioneering social media campaign, LoveGuernsey, with the aim of socially engaging Guernsey fans to promote the island.

The 2013 campaign, will focus on social media channels. Visit Guernsey will be asking Guernsey fans and holidaymakers to upload their favourite photos memories, pictures, tips and anecdotes to Facebook  (www.facebook.com/VisitGuernsey) and Twitter (@visitguernsey) using #loveguernsey.

The campaign hopes that those that love Guernsey will share their memories, anecdotes, stories and images of the island as a holiday destination which will encourage others to holiday on the island!

The key aim of the campaign is to re-ignite and share the love and nostalgia for traditional Guernsey holidays; a key selling point for the island and a pull factor for visitors. Visit Guernsey believes that the elements that make up the ‘traditional Guernsey holiday’; the outdoors, clean beaches, fresh air, clifftop walks, the relaxed pace of island life and activities such as rock pooling, swimming and picnicking  are increasingly popular right now and using real people’s experiences of the island helps bring it to life for prospective visitors.

To provide a great incentive to upload memories, anecdotes and photos Visit Guernsey is running a competition with leading tour operator to the island Channel Islands Direct (http://bit.ly/15ybj25) to find the most beautiful photo of Guernsey or the most evocative anecdote.

Channel Islands Direct will be offering a short break for two including return flights from a selection of regional UK airports and accommodation for three nights in a four star hotel on the island, plus car hire to ensure the winning couple is able to explore the stunning history and scenery of this island. To be in with a chance of winning start sharing on Twitter and Facebook
